Aussie Update

Well kiddies, what can I say? 4 National Parks in less than a week and it just keeps getting better and better. Yesterday, I was in Royal National Park running the Coastal Walk (awesome!) and today I am in the Blue Mountains National Park in Katoomba. Katoomba is the Banff of the Blue Mountains and naturally, I love it here. Mountain towns are always full of good people and good trails, so I am totally in my element. Happy, smiling and keen to get out there tomorrow for a full day on the trails. The scenery, the temperature, the place is unlike any that I have been before. I get the feeling that the locals and tourists have all been looking at me funny. While they are walking through the bush wearing rain coats, boots, hats and pants.....I am in a sleeveless, short-shorts and a peaked hat to keep the water off my face. Yes, it's raining but it's frickin' warm! Today, I felt like I was 5 years old with all of the puddle hopping I've been doing. Soaked to the skin and loving it!

Happy trails!

Leslie

I just spent half an hour on the phone with her...and yes, she did sound like a 5 year old on vacation! Can't wait for the pictures.

Thanks to all the people who constantly help Les out in her 'less than planned' travel! There are some great and giving people out there.

Hey Leslie,

People look at you funny back home too, don't worry about it :)
How do you fit the pink gaiters over the yellow rubber boots though?
